    About the store on the menu website

    Just let you know that if you expected to get some merchandising from this site, you are wrong. The "shop" section will contain links to iTunes, Amazon... to buy the album. As soon as the album will be out in the UK this section will be opened.

    Well let's hope so. It's about time. Maybe they can create some t-shirts and other stuff as well.

    Portal Imbruglia has much more promotional itens than official site. Natalie should deal an official shop with them.

    @milton

    Although I'm sure your motives for that suggestion are good ones, I don't believe that'd be a smart move ideally for Miss Imbruglia.
    You may or may not be aware of that site's recent 'protest' actions, due to their opinion on the recent set-backs that have occured with Natalie's album and some of the postponed gigs.

    Personally, I don't think that Miss Imbruglia needs to deal with any outside/third-party groups to set-up a merchandising section.
    They didn't actually know what may or may not have been happening behind the scenes, causing the afore mentioned set-backs. Yet the owners of that site chose to take the 'action' that they did, on the basis that things weren't going exactly how they felt they should.

    I believe the last thing Natalie would need is yet another group who feel that if they didn't get exactly what they wanted, when they wanted it... They could essentially hold her to ransom because they'd have control over the shop.

    Although many of us weren't 'happy' with the set-backs, I'm fairly sure not all of us would have reacted in such a way as the people in control of that site did.
    I'm not a fan of bullying tactics or the over-baring manipulation that certain groups/individuals think is acceptable in order to achieve what they want.

    Fair enough, they're a popular fan-site and no doubt they do a lot of promotion for Miss Imbruglia.
    But at the end of the day, it was their choice to set-up such a site (wasn't it?), as it was their choice to 'protest' against the way things turned out (albeit on a temporary basis). I still think that to essentially make demands from someone you claim to be a fan of is quite wrong, regardless of what you feel you may have done for them (especially 'off your own back').

    @stitch16 & @malice:

    You never know... Something may turn up. It'd be best to have someone willing to work with Natalie's wishes and not against them.

    I don't like the way the creators of the main site are operating really. I understand the domain name is Natalie's, but the site seems to be under the control of a different entity. One that appears to not care about the ever growing amount of blatant spam messaging occuring on the pages.
    Of course... I could be wrong, that does happen on occasion.

    Hi Shadowz,

    maybe you can write in English? At least we understand what you're saying. And maybe even react, if we don't agree.

    Missed-Da-Woo1f,

    indeed you never know. If I had the time I wouldn't mind helping out. I like to do things like that, being creative. As far as I'm able to ofcourse. I'm not the light, the world is waiting for, hahahaha. Maybe as a little conquest we should all, as a fan, design our own Natalie t-shirt? But by the reactions on the campaign, there'll be probably about 3 people who react. It's a shame. I wish there was a little more feedback sometimes.
    I don't think you're wrong. But maybe Natalie does need a more active team for her website. And merchandising.
    Anyway, it's just my small opinion.

    Translation (as stitch asked): Stick out tongue
    Yes you are absolutely right! I totally agree with you! Well said Smile
    And may need a permanent forum moderator! I think - if possible - a fan can be free by the moderator.
    (P.S. Translation probably isn't completely accurate).

    @ShadowZ:
    Hello Andrey, thanks for the comment... I do try, haha.
    I think it would be a good idea to have a more prominent forum moderator. That is of course not bringing into question Karen's abilities to do the task, but she obviously has quite a busy life and doesn't often have the time to be an online presence. It could be beneficial to have a couple of 'Demi-mods' assigned also. As in, they have similar operative powers but the main moderator still has the over-ruling power.
    Seeing as there's obviously a world-wide fanbase... Perhaps one or two fair minded fans from different time-zones. Meaning there's always at least the potential for 'around the clock' moderation if need be.
    But I do think the main issue with moderation is the spam comments posted on the main site rather than here.

    Besides that, if there was some demi-mods on this forum, that could mean 'trouble' for some of the 'fans' who post here if they didn't remain respectful enough in putting their point across... I wont mention names *Coughjoshallcough*
    Wink

    @stitch16:
    Hello again my E-friend :P
    Like you, I also enjoy being creative. Currently I tend to have the time, but rarely the confidence in my own abilities.
    As for T-shirt designing, a neat idea. But perhaps not too challenging really... I mean, I'd imagine that anything with Natalie on it has to look good... Just like the reverse I can imagine being very true (Anything Natalie's wearing would have to inevitably look good... I'm such a charmer, hahaha ;)

    If you think about it, if only 3 people chose to work on 3 different designs & if they were good or were reworked/tweeked to look eye-catching enough... That's 9 seperate T-shirt designs that (if taken on-board by Natalie) could become official T-shirts.
    Mix that with the various T-shirt styles available and that's probably at least 27 possible combinations (not including long sleaved tops). It all gets quite involved the further into it you get, haha.

    I apologise for me not replying back to you on the Campaign thread yet... I have been contemplating certain things regarding it and will probably post a reply to that fairly shortly. With regards to the quantity of feedback replies 'on-the-whole' to it, I can understand your frustration with a lack of response. Unfortunately, not everyone is equally passionate about taking such a pro-active role in things. Indeed most people have such busy lives that they tend to not have the time to spare for doing so.

    @Julius1:
    I could be wrong but I believe that signature animation that Andrey (ShadowZ) has recently 'adopted' comes from a campaign advert. I'm not 100% sure exactly what for, but if my memory serves me correctly, the clicking fingers is either symbolic of:
    "How often a child in the third world dies"
    or possibly
    "How often a woman is killed by her partner through domestic violence"

    Like I say, I could be wrong but am fairly certain it's a campaign for a good cause/charity.

    Damn... I don't write comments, I write essays, lol.

    Hello hello Missed-Da-woo1f,

    great translation you made there,haha. You naughty boy! Good one though. But maybe you weren't joking, this is correct? Don't know, don't speak Russian.

    You don't have to doubt your own abilities.I'm sure you'll do well. Besides it's just trying right?  It can't be worse than mine.I'm really not that good.Far from it.Come on, have it a go. I'm curious for your ideas.But you see it quite widely, no? Good idea though. Maybe not every t-shirt should have Nat's face on it. You do need some diversity to choose from right? But I get your point.

    You don't have to apologise. I'm not really frustrated either. It's just, there are some people complainig. I feel that if you can complain, maybe it's better to do something about it. Get active. I'm sure they're not waiting for us.But at least you do something positive. I'm still waiting for our Joshall. This is the time for him, to get in action, but now he's pretty quiet, isn't he. I think everyone has a busy life. Me too (work, study, play piano/guitar, write, party!!). Probably you as well. But either you think someone's worth it, to do something for them (no matter what result). Or you don't. That's not only with your idols, it's also like that in real life. But maybe I'm a little naïve.

    Anyway, keep rocking guys!!!

    Hi Shadowz,

    I tried a few words. It's cool, but I can't read them. No, it's not that I don't like Russian. It's just hard because I don't know how to pronounce the words.Or write them. But I'll try a few times.

    I'm sorry if I offended you, it wasn't my intention.

    Have a great day!= ectb bemnknn (with a little sign on the last n) aehb.? I'll probably have it wrongly written. But let me know ok? I'd like to learn a few words like that. Thank you.
    Take care.
