I have had no emails,no anything. Me an my wife are huge fans of Natalie, we have missed her in concert, for all different reasons since she released her first song. So when i found out she was touring.............FORM A CONCERT WEB SITE, I was excited but yet confused that the 'Official' site hadnt even emailed me. So first question is ....Why wasnt this news sent out by email to the regestered fans on this site?? Plus i found out the tour was postponed .........BY A LETTER FROM THE ORGANISERS a day before the gig. Which means they must of known inadvance of the letter being sent out. As soon as the organiseres were told an email should of been sent out to us???? Right or wrong??.So i clicked on the your web site after a read the letter, and there it was,a statement from Natalie. Im signed up with many music websites and they let you know thing in advance  ie UPCOMING TOURS and CANCELLATIONS. If fans are not told about tours , THE TOUR WILL NOT SELL OUT. Its not hard is it, its called common sense.

If someone can explain my complaints, hang on , not complaints, yes bugger it, complaints .......that would be great.

One thing you have to know about all this marketing and publicity thing around Nat is that they are facing many problems...and communication seems to be really deficient.  It is sad because we cannot do much about it.  You are not the only one stuck in theses big mistakes from Nat's team, we all have to dig everywhere else to get some infos, scoops and news about Nat because if we wait to get it from the website, we will miss a lot...but stay in touch with the forum, you will learn more here than by just waiting to receive e-mail from nat's website.

The indifference towards her fans has had as result the closure of Portal Imbruglia.

It seems they are protesting for the mistreat that is receiving Natalie Imbruglia's last album and I support them because Natalie Imbruglia and her management are missing the opportunity to give this album the promotion it deserves.

I can surely understand their reaction. So it us true that the album's postponed again. Hm. Very very bad promotion indeed. I think it's got a lot to do with her management. Sometimes I have the feeling, they don't value her for the talented artist she is. But it's just a feeling, I can be wrong.Maybe their planning to do more promotion with the next single?

I think it's good they protest. But if we, as fans, don't support her anymore, who will?

  Let's hope it's a wake-up call to them, but I doubt it.

 Its not Natalie's fault,its the team behind her. they seem lto be lazy, and , like you said, dont seem to value her as a talented artist.

I thought that link above your post was a bit harsh , saying she was just happy living off the success of her first album  

But the rest of there point seemed to make some sense .

a bold move, and I share Carlos' opinion, I have to admit my interest in Nat's career hit an absolute low (in 13 years), when the UK release was postponed again last year. I still love her for all the music she gave us and what LOTM did for me back in 97/98, but it seems like the drive is gone. Nat said on several occasions she's in control of the new album release this time, but it doesn't seem like it. Maybe she'll prove me wrong with a new tour, I do hope so!

I hope it's working this time? Hm. I agree, I also think Nat's not in complete control of the album release. But I don't think any artist ever is, except a U2 or Coldplay perhaps. I do think she's going to do a tour. She's surely coming to Belgium. As said before I'll put it on the forum when I know everything. I just know now , that the presale of tickets would start at the beginnig of February, and it's in Oostende. So maybe, we'll get some more information soon. Fingers crossed.

I also agree that the lack of information and numerous delays for 'Come To Life' are very frustrating. I also must say that Natalie's silence is deafening and disappointing. One thing I'm surprised about is that the rampant complaining (which I agree with) about her is allowed to continue here on her official forum. I've been on some official sites where such dissention was heavily moderated and discouraged.

I've been out of the loop for a while & just went to visit Portal Imbruglia, but I'm only able to read a protest & listen to CTL. Thanks for mentioning it's shutdown, but I hope this isn't permanent. While I can understand fans anger & disappointment, it does seem a shame that such a good fan site is now shut down to fans, because Nat's team don't seem to know they elbows from their backsides.

I read the protest page at Portal Imbruglia this morning over a frappachino and short bread.  The article does question a number of shortcomings in the promotion of not just her recent album "Come to Life" but also an number of problems related to her overall music venture.  It does conern me that there are problems in organization, promotion, merchandising and media oppurtunities that have resulted in her declining popularity since "Counting down the days".  I cannot surmise a reason for this, I can only speculate that either the support personnel that are advising her and executing the day to day business of her music career are not doing a good job and are not advising her correctly and not doing a good job marketing her and her music. I don't know if these are the same folks that have been with her since the beginning or are different from the ones that carried her when she was with BMG in the early days.  It may be a result of the current record label not sufficently marketing and promoting Miss Imburglia in the way she should be and perhaps a change in labels might be best.  Also, changes in her marketing and support staff may be warranted.  But the bottom line may me with Natalie herself.  I listen and read about other recording artists and how there passion and emotion have carried them through the toughest times of their careers but it's those qualities that bring them through.  I don't know what her "passion" is for her music and how much "heart" she invests in it, But like in any business or practice, heart and passion define a person and there interest and motivation to succeed.  I hope Natalie finds that "fire" in her heart in her music and life and see things through and finds brighter days ahead.
